In -person workshops are restarting in June 2021!
This is for aspiring upcyclers wanting to get started on a new project under guidance before continuing at home with confidence! Many of us are now considering that upcycling an older or second hand piece of furniture to compliment our design scheme is a better option to buying new. Not only are older pieces often better made from quality materials and longer lasting but it’s cost effective and saves good solid furniture from landfill.
Open to a maximum of two participants and following Covid safe practices you’ll have the opportunity to get started the right way learning how to prep and apply like a professional furniture painter.
You only need bring yourself (dressed in old clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on) and your project. This should be something small and easy to carry like a dining chair or side table but if you want to work on a larger piece you can bring a part of it such as a drawer or door and continue at home afterwards putting into action the tips you’ve picked up.
Paint can be purchased to use on the day and continue with at home at a 10% discount to the usual retail price. Alternatively, you can provide your own. All other equipment is provided.
Bring Your Own Project workshops are priced at £110, they start at 10:00 and finish at 16:00 with a short break for lunch.
Venue: The Studio, Pastures Yard Farm, High Street, Lyminge CT18 8EL. Free parking is available.
