This lovely 1940’s cocktail cabinet has been given a thoroughly modern makeover to suit today’s aesthetic whilst still retaining its original charm.
Stunning wood grain patterns to the front have been carefully sanded back before treating with wax oil to enhance and protect.
Drawer bases and backs of doors have been lined with a modern botanical print wallpaper featuring a fun design with lemurs, lizards and hummingbirds. Edges have been lightly distressed and faded. Sealed with clear varnish for added durability.
The cupboard interior is painted in Autentico Old Gold with accents of this paint also added to the edges of the doors and tops of drawers. The remaining exterior and serving shelf and interior are painted with Annabell Duke mineral paint in Port Royal and sealed with two coats of clear satin varnish for a subtle sheen and added durability.
Original accessories and hardware have been cleaned, polished and reinstated where possible, hardware replaced with new where necessary. All door handles have been updated with asymmetric brass oval shapes to compliment the curved lines of the furniture.
Original light comes on automatically when lid is opened, rewired to modern safety standards.
